PHILOSOPHY & PURPOSE
The primary purpose of Hearts of the Father Outreach is to establish
homes of refuge for children. These homes are open to orphaned,
abandoned, or abused children of all nations, color, and creed.
The homes provide for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual
needs of the children in a loving, Godly environment. Education,
vocational training, faith in God, and service to others are emphasized.
Each home has houseparents and a support staff. Houseparents are
indigenous people of proven character, established in their local
church. They are a husband and wife team who are both active in
the lives of the children. A local board of directors provides oversight
for the operation of the home. Training and support are facilitated
through Hearts of the Father Outreach – USA.
In addition to establishing homes, Hearts of the Father Outreach
supports existing homes established by others, whose vision is similar
and whose need and credibility are independently verified. Hearts
of the Father Outreach may be the only source of support for these
homes or one of a number of supporters.
Hearts of the Father Outreach sponsors children in foster homes
in areas where circumstances prevent establishment of a home of
refuge. The organization also supports a variety of outreaches,
long and short term, to children. Hearts of the Father Outreach
often works in cooperation with other organizations and ministries
to meet specific material and spiritual needs of children and children’s
workers. Hearts of the Father Outreach works interdenominationally
and is committed to assisting dedicated service to children wherever
it can. Hearts of the Father Outreach is a Christian, faith based,
NGO, non-governmental organization.
Support for homes, programs and outreaches, comes from designated
and undesignated donations made by individuals, churches, foundations,
and businesses, and through child sponsorship and short term missions
projects.
